Frequently asked questions
How does Navigating Trials differ from a standard Clinical Research Organization (CRO)?
While standard CROs are typically logistics-driven and focused on meeting bulk enrollment numbers, we are Equity-Driven. We focus on achieving patient representation that is commensurate with the actual burden of disease, ensuring that clinical results are scientifically complete and equitable.
What is the "Triple Threat" mentioned in your navigation services?
The Triple Threat refers to our unique team of experts who provide 24/7/365 personal access to patients. This team is composed of individuals who are Black, Clinical Experts, and Survivors, allowing us to address fear, mistrust, and real-life barriers in real-time by “putting a hug around the science”.
How do you ensure high retention rates among Black participants?
We move beyond automated text reminders and apps used by standard organizations. By building deep, relationship-based connections and resolving Social Determinants of Health (SDOH)—such as transportation, childcare, or logistical hurdles—in real-time, we have achieved up to a 50% increase in retention.
What is the "Clinical Trial Equity Scorecard"?
The scorecard is an interactive tool on our site that highlights the “Participation Gap” across various disease states. For example, it illustrates that while Black women have a 40% higher mortality rate from breast cancer, they only represent approximately 4.5% of participants in related clinical trials.
How does your organization "activate" clinical trial sites?
We don’t just select sites; we bring a hand-picked, curated network of Proven Providers who have a track record of successfully recruiting and treating Black patients. We then surround these providers with an “Ecosystem of Trust,” linking them to local advocacy groups, faith-based organizations, and support groups to make trial participation feel like a natural extension of the patient’s existing community.
